About Jess Lin
My passion for understanding human meaning and motivation has led me through a seemingly winding career path, from journalism to web development to designer to brand strategist to marketing consultant. I am addicted to the Internet. Ever since my days of using text-only Lynx by accessing my neighborhood library's www dial-up, I've been fascinated by how the digital space has shaped connection and engagement around the world. I'm also incredibly interested in how start-up culture and theories can help big, dinosaur companies become ballerinas in an ever-changing consumer landscape, one that demands that companies do well by doing good. My job is to help clients with the problems that keep them up at night (or should keep them up at night) and lead my teams and partner with others to solve these problems in creative, impactful ways. Today, I lead a 140+ person team at Accenture working across North America to help our senior marketing clients define their ambition, find new pools of value, and realize their growth potential. While my team’s work spans industries, I primarily focus on insurance, banking, and CPG. When I'm not at work, you can find me urban gardening on my terrace, experimenting in my kitchen with molecular gastronomy, flipping upside down for gymnastics practice, or wandering (and eating) around the world.
