About Jimmie Hagle
Currently I am working at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh PA as an automation lead through Accenture. I work with the mobile develop team in ensuring a production ready application for use on mobile devices. During my time at Sonoma State, I worked on research being preformed through the Osborn Preserves that used Computer vision on trail cameras in order to label wildlife animals. The goal of the project was to accurately label and track the number animals captured by the cameras so that a person would not have to sort through the thousands of images taken by these cameras. My main contributions to this project were a multi-stage classification system that categorized the images into broader groups before reaching if final classification and an ensemble network that used multiple models in order to achieve a more accurate classification. My capstone project at Sonoma State was a supplementary language learning app called Language Scavenger that used computer vision to identify images captured on the users’ phone. The goal of this project was to help teach the user a new language of their choice by providing them a word in the chosen language and for them to go out and find it with their phones. Our groups application received the people’s choice award at the Sonoma State tech showcase.
