Kristy Weng has been employed at Acer since 2002, initially serving as an Associate Marketing Manager in the Industrial Design Business Unit. In 2008, she transitioned to the role of Senior Design Project Manager, a position she has held for 16 years. In her current role, she is responsible for planning Acer's overall product design strategy and proposing new product concepts across various product lines. Weng has also led the Design Communication team from 2009 to 2011, where she managed Design Research, User Interface Design, and Usability functions.

She furthered her education at the University of Leicester, obtaining a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from 2005 to 2007. Weng is skilled in conducting qualitative user observation, utilizing methodologies such as empathy exercises, in-home observations, and co-creation workshops.
