About Larry Fromm
Throughout my career, I’ve been a leader in organizations that use new products and technologies to transform industries. My engineering background and technology inclination are tremendously helpful. With a creative mind and strategic thinking, I thrive on the challenge of bringing new technologies to market. This includes understanding the technology and its value; determining the problem to be solved; figuring out how to configure the technology to solve the problem; finding the optimal path to market; communicating its key value propositions; and getting it to market including positioning, marketing, pricing and negotiating. I am action oriented, both in my personal life (among other pursuits, I love skiing and mountain biking) and in business. (Interesting note: in the early days of the internet. I initiated and led the development of the world’s first IP telephony gateway (technology now used in Skype and similar services) – and then brought it to market ahead of larger competitors. See details in the Dialogic section.) As a General Manager, I’ve built and led high-performing teams and held responsibility for P&L, engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, channel development, venture capital fundraising and government relations. I led the networking business unit at Widcomm before the pioneering Bluetooth company was sold to Broadcom. I also ran the Gammalink division after it was acquired by Dialogic, and grew revenue 70% in the first year and 300% in three years. I’ve built a reputation for my critical thinking, sound judgment and exemplary integrity. I’m a frequent public speaker and hold four U.S. patents. I’m a voracious reader, have a passion for knowledge and am a quick learner. As such, I’m confident my experience in energy, wireless networking and telecom will translate into any technology sector.
