Darlene Allen serves as the CEO & Executive Director. With over 35 years of experience, she has focused on developing services for children, youth, and families in both public and private organizations. Darlene's leadership and advocacy contribute significantly to the improvement of child and youth programs, policies, and practices on a local and national level.

Darlene Allen Education and Expertise

Darlene Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and a Master of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts. Additionally, she completed a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Harvard University's Kennedy School and is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses entrepreneurial program.

Darlene Allen has a strong background in advocacy for children and youth. She actively promotes improved child and youth serving programs and practices. Her roles include Vice Chair of the National Adoption Exchange Association, Board member of Voice For Adoption, and member of the National Family Builders Association, among others.

In addition to her executive roles, Darlene Allen contributes to several professional organizations. She chairs the Rhode Island Coalition for Children and Families and is a member of the Rhode Island Child Fatality Review team. She has also been a mentor to numerous emerging leaders in Rhode Island.
