Creative and contrarian Founder, CTO, Leader, and Coder. I enjoy building new consumer experiences, creating and leading teams, and developing products. Primarily interested in broad roles that include cross-team collaboration, A.I., hands-on development, and a mix of Product and Engineering. Currently working on future-looking prototypes at Airbnb. Primarily working with SwiftUI and web technologies. Previously Mobile (iOS) at Twitch, as the Senior-most member of the iOS Core Platform Team. Previously worked at AngelList on various things related to Startup Investing and Recruiting Technology. Previously Cofounder/CTO of Context Optional, Inc., the first Social Media Marketing company. We invented advanced Social Media Marketing tools and advised best practices for Chase, Safeway, Levi's, Hyatt, Disney, and many others. Context Optional was purchased by Efficient Frontier in 2011, which was purchased by Adobe in 2012. It was an interesting year. At Adobe, I was a Principal Scientist, the highest level of technical achievement that Adobe awards. I also managed a global team, and served on Adobe's Architecture Council. Author of Professional C++ (Wiley, 2005), which I adapted for a course (CS193D) at Stanford University in 2006. I have advised and invested in a number of startups, both consumer and enterprise. I served on the Computer Science Undergraduate Teaching Advisory Committee at Stanford University, and I'm a Mentor at ffwd.org, an accelerator for non-profits. I am also an edible root vegetable of the Brassicaceae family.
