Irena Lauer has been serving as the Vice President of Operations at AirHelp since 2022. In this role, she has contributed to the company's ability to offer services in 17 languages, which supports a diverse global customer base. Prior to her current position, she held multiple roles at AirHelp, including Director of Operations Centre from 2020 to 2022, Head of Customer Support from 2019 to 2020, and Head of New Processes Development for six months in 2019. Lauer played a key role in integrating technology to enhance the claims process for air passengers and leveraged local knowledge from a network of law firms across 30 countries to strengthen AirHelp's legal advocacy for air passenger rights.
Previous Experience
Before joining AirHelp, Irena Lauer worked at ERGO Hestia in various capacities. She served as Deputy Director of the Sales Department from 2016 to 2018 and held the position of Project Manager from 2007 to 2015. Lauer also briefly worked as Deputy Director of the Life Insurance Department in 2019 and as Deputy Director of the Sales Distribution Strategy Office in 2016. Additionally, she worked at Nordea Bank Polska as a Sales Team Manager from 2004 to 2007.
Education and Expertise
Irena Lauer has a diverse educational background. She studied Marketing at Politechnika Gdańska, earning a Magister (Mgr) degree from 1998 to 2002. She also studied Public Relations and Relationship Marketing at Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa w Gdańsku from 2005 to 2006. Lauer furthered her education in Innovation Management with a focus on Design Thinking at Uniwersytet SWPS from 2015 to 2016. Most recently, she studied Psychology for Managers at Akademia Leona Koźmińskiego from 2021 to 2022.
