About Rebecca Lynn

Rebecca is Co-Founder and General Partner at Canvas Ventures where she leads early-stage investments in fintech, digital health, and AI. Rebecca has been named to the Forbes Midas List five years running, a Woman to Watch: Senior Deal Maker by the Wall Street Journal, and a Top Woman VC by the New York Times. Rebecca's passion lies in working closely with early-stage founders, helping them refine their product market fit and expand their go-to-market strategy. Rebecca brings a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to her investments. At NextCard, the first online credit card company, Rebecca helped scale the company from 30 people to 1300 and an IPO. One of her early investments while a partner at Morgenthaler, Doximity (NYSE: DOCS), went public in 2021 and was one of the year’s largest IPOs. Other notable investments include Luminar (NASDAQ: LAZR), Casetext (acq Thomson Reuters), Lending Club (NYSE: LC), Practice Fusion (acq Allscripts), Gabi (acq Experian), Check (acq Intuit), RelateIQ (acq Salesforce), CrowdFlower (acq Appen), Viewics (acq Roche), FutureAdvisor (acq BlackRock), and Figure Eight (acq Appen). Rebecca has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and a JD/MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. She serves on the board of SkyDeck, the University of California Berkeley incubator and is a frequent lecturer at Stanford and Berkeley.
