Mashia Tate serves as a Scrum Master at Ally, starting her current role in 2023. She operates remotely from the Detroit Metropolitan Area. In this role, she oversees Scrum practices and ensures Agile methodologies are correctly implemented to facilitate successful software project delivery.

Mashia Tate has held several positions at Ally, including Sr. IT Delivery Lead (Supervisor) from 2020 to 2023, IT Delivery Lead from 2019 to 2020, IT Business Analyst from 2018 to 2019, and IT Associate in the Early Talent Program from 2017 to 2018. Over these roles, she has contributed to various IT projects, led teams, and enhanced delivery processes in the Greater Detroit Area.
Education and Qualifications
Mashia Tate holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Information Technology Project Management from Lawrence Technological University, obtained between 2016 and 2021. She also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from the same institution, studying from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, she spent a year at Oakland Community College from 2010 to 2011. Mashia is certified as a Scrum Master and SAFe Scrum Master.

At Ally, Mashia Tate co-leads the program and events pillar for the Black and Brown in Technology community. Her efforts focus on mentorship and increasing tech accessibility. She has worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at TechTown in 2021, Co-Founder & CEO of knoME from 2017 to 2022, and held various internships and roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Boeing, and Novo Motor Acoustics. Her experience spans roles such as business analysis, CAD design, and IT infrastructure.
