About Matt Clement
Matt Clement's 25+ years as a media and operations specialist includes a rich background covering both the creative and operational sides of entertainment. Career highlights include launching the first cloud-based broadcast network in the U.S., directing/producing long and short-form commercials for fortune 500 brands such as AT&T, Coca-Cola and Kellogg’s and building four television networks from the ground up distributed to over 200 affiliates nationwide. In 2002, Matt launched the production company Matjik Creative, which focused not only on broadcast television, but targeted new media opportunities in the online space. His work as a writer, editor and producer includes hundreds of episodes of television seen on NBC, ESPN, FOX, TBS, Golf Channel and Disney. Matt sold his company in 2011 and was brought on board Career Sports & Entertainment to expand their in-house production and operations for CSE’s creative agency. During his tenure there, Clement produced and directed numerous national campaigns for iconic brands Coca-Cola, AT&T, Home Depot and others before joining the team tasked to launch True Crime Network in 2014 for CSE’s sister company, Cooper Media. As Director of Operations and Production for True Crime Network, Matt built out the operation model needed to maximize automation and workflow for production, post-production and broadcast playout of the network. With the infrastructure in place, Cooper Media was able to launch its second network, Quest TV, in 2018 as the first U.S. based 24/7 broadcast network distributed entirely by the cloud. The success of True Crime Network and Quest TV led to their acquisition by TEGNA for $91 million in 2019. At TEGNA, Matt was head of operations and production for True Crime Network, Quest and their most recent network, Twist TV, launched in April 2021. In the fall of 2021, Matt teamed with colleagues that helped launch Justice Network (now True Crime Network) and Quest to form a new parent company, NetX Holdings, which premiered a new multicast network, Digi-TV, offering a variety of fresh content to viewers covering lifestyle, unscripted reality, scripted drama and murder mysteries. Currently, Matt is Senior Project Manager in the U.S. for Amagi Media Labs. Amagi is a next-generation media technology company that provides cloud broadcast and targeted advertising solutions to broadcast TV and streaming TV platforms around the world.
