About Angela Byrne
As the US Director of Business Strategy at Cognito, I support in-house branding efforts as well as help clients confidently explore new channels, stories, and opportunities in complex and competitive markets. I have over 10 years of experience in communications consulting, working with both large and small brands on strategy and execution. I have also been recognized as PR Rookie of the Year by PR Daily for my achievements and potential as a young public relations professional. My goal is to always bring the 'human' back in business by clearly communicating how to speak to clients and team members, both public and in-house. I specialize in fintech, climate transition, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, purpose-driven communications, and philanthropy. I believe in setting the right tone and process through critical cross-functional management, ideation and execution, business reengineering, and group thinking. I also sit on the board for the American Cancer Society, where I provide communication oversight and strategic fundraising efforts for multiple organizations. Additionally, through Cognito, I am Series 7 trained. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, volunteering, time with family, country music concerts and scrappy people.
