Quang Han is a Staff Design Engineer at Ampere, where he has worked since 2017. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and has extensive experience in RTL design and hardware programming.
Work at Ampere
Quang Han has been employed at Ampere as a Staff Design Engineer since 2017. In this role, he has contributed to various projects involving RTL design and integration of standard interfaces. His responsibilities include performing RTL design for blocks related to booting, monitoring clocking, and resets in System on Chip (SoC) applications. He has also set up Spyglass Lint CDC and conducted power analysis for IoT projects, demonstrating his expertise in the field.
Previous Experience at Renesas Design Vietnam
Prior to his tenure at Ampere, Quang Han worked at Renesas Design Vietnam Co., Ltd. as a Senior Engineer from 2007 to 2011. During his four years at Renesas, he gained valuable experience in engineering design and development, which laid the foundation for his subsequent roles in the industry.
Education and Expertise
Quang Han earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, completing his studies from 2002 to 2007. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution between 2013 and 2015. His academic background supports his expertise in standard interfaces such as AMBA AXI/AHB/APB, I2C, UART, and I2S.
Technical Skills and Proficiencies
Quang Han possesses a strong proficiency in hardware programming languages, including Verilog HDL, SystemVerilog, C, Perl, Shell, and make. He is familiar with various hardware EDA tools such as Verdi, VCS, SpyGlass, Questa Simulation, Questa/Synopsys CDC, JasperGold, Siloti, and PTPX. His technical skills enable him to conduct pre/post-layout netlist power analysis and provide post-silicon support in collaboration with Emulator, ASIC verification, and electrical validation teams.
Key Contributions and Projects
Throughout his career, Quang Han has made significant contributions to various projects. He improved the performance of I2S/PCM Audio DAC by 16 times through RTL design using SystemVerilog. Additionally, he integrated ISP and Encoder for video applications and integrated various design wares and IPs into systems, showcasing his ability to enhance design efficiency and performance.
