Professional Experience
Hugh Njemanze began his career at Hewlett Packard in 1982, where he worked as a Member of Technical Staff for five years. He then moved to Network Innovations, serving as a Software Architect for nine months. From 1988 to 1993, he worked at Apple Computer as a Software Architect, where he was a key architect behind the Data Access Language (DAL). He joined Verity as CTO and VP of R&D in 1993 and stayed for seven years. In 2000, he co-founded ArcSight and held multiple roles including CTO and EVP of R&D over a twelve-year period. This role expanded to lead all engineering and R&D efforts for HP’s Enterprise Security Products group after ArcSight's acquisition. He then worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers from 2012 to 2014. Hugh joined ThreatStream as CEO in 2014, a role he held until 2021. He transitioned to being President of Anomali in 2021, after serving as its CEO for seven years.
Education and Certifications
Hugh Njemanze holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, which he earned between 1977 and 1981. Additionally, he is CISSP certified.
