He has been with Applus+ since 2024, overseeing initiatives related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Prior to this role, he served as the Regional Head of Sustainability for the India Subcontinent, MENA, Southeast Asia, and North Asia Pacific regions since 2023. He began his career as a Safety Professional at Tarasafe International Pvt Ltd from 2017 to 2018. He then transitioned to Enfragy Solutions India Private Limited as a Technical Consultant for eight months in 2018. Following this, he worked at TÜV NORD GROUP, focusing on energy, water, sustainability, and carbon footprint from 2019 to 2020. His experience spans multiple sectors, enhancing his expertise in environmental management.
Achievements
Dr. Abhineet Jha has been recognized as the first and only Independent External Evaluator (IEE) for Verra’s Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta). He has authored a publication addressing sustainability and climate change, specifically discussing the 'Race to Survival and Race to Existence'. Additionally, he has been involved in mentoring initiatives related to the International Finance Corporation's Environmental and Social Management System (IFC ESMS). His contributions to the field of sustainability are further exemplified by his role as an ESG-GHG verifier.
