Current Role at APTIM

Terry Sheppard currently holds the position of Quality Control at APTIM, previously known as CB&I Capital Services. He has been in this role since 2018, contributing to quality assurance efforts in Alberta, Canada. His responsibilities include ensuring compliance with industry standards and overseeing quality control processes within the organization.

Previous Experience in Quality Control

Before joining APTIM, Terry worked as a Level 2 QC Inspector at Kbac Industries Inc from 2013 to 2014. In this role, he was involved in quality control processes for the LHPP project. He also served as a QC Inspector at Team Industrial Services for six months in Newfoundland and Labrador from 2016 to 2017, further enhancing his expertise in quality assurance.

Education and Certifications

Terry Sheppard has a diverse educational background. He studied at Ascension Collegiate, completing his studies in 1999. He then attended Gander Flight Training, where he achieved multiple pilot ratings, including Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Sea Plane Rating, Multi Engine Rating, and IFR Rating from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, he studied at the College of the North Atlantic and earned a Journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter certification. He also achieved Level 2 welding inspector status through CWB.

Past Roles in the Industry

Terry's career includes various roles in the piping and quality control sectors. He worked as a Journeyman Pipefitter at APTIM for two months in 2017 at the Suncor base plant and for one month at Waiward Steel LP in CNRL. He also served as a Piping Supervisor/General Foreman at Jacobs for 11 months in 2012 at North Atlantic Refinery LTD, showcasing his skills in supervision and project management.

Ongoing Education and Training

Terry has continued his education in welding and piping standards since 2014. He is currently studying at CWB to achieve certifications in CSA W47.1/W59 and ASME B31.3. This ongoing education reflects his commitment to maintaining industry standards and enhancing his professional qualifications.
