About Whitney Johnson
I am a cell biologist and biochemist with diverse expertise in chromatin biology, cancer biology, innate immune pathways, and genome editing. I enjoy working together with other motivated scientists to solve biological problems relevant to human disease. I love mentoring young scientists and enjoy contributing to team efforts in either leadership or collaborative roles. My work has focused on using both tissue culture and organoid models to study fundamental aspects of basic cell biology—including cell division, nuclear integrity, and innate immune signaling—and to understand how these processes are altered in disease. I am interested in opportunities to participate in team-based efforts to use basic cell biological discoveries to improve human health.
