Title and Current Role
Amy Shen currently holds the title of Digital Services Leader for Americas West and Associate at Arup. She has been serving in this capacity since 2022 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her role, she is responsible for the strategic growth of digital advisory, digital platforms, and ITC design services across the Americas West region.
Roles at Arup
Since joining Arup in 2013, Amy Shen has undertaken multiple roles within the company. She worked as a Smart Building Consultant and Project Design Manager in Shanghai City, China, from 2013 to 2016. Since 2016, she has also taken on the role of Smart Building and Disruptive Innovations Consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior Experience
Before her various roles at Arup, Amy Shen was part of the London Young Professionals Network committee at The Institute of Engineering and Technology from 2011 to 2013. She also served on the Executive Committee for the Chinese Property Professionals Society (CPPS) in the United Kingdom from 2009 to 2013.
Educational Background
Amy Shen studied at the University of Cambridge, where she earned both a Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Information Science in 1970.
