Clare Lavelle holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, where she studied from 1999 to 2003. This educational foundation has provided her with the technical expertise necessary for her roles in the energy sector. Her engineering background has been pivotal in her work on various innovative projects, including the world-first SGN’s H100 hydrogen for heating demonstration, which supplies 300 domestic properties with zero carbon heating from green hydrogen.

She supports the Crown Estates Scotland in developing the ScotWind leasing process, playing a key role in appraising and selecting successful developers for over 10GW of offshore wind projects.
