Emma has an extensive background in landscape architecture, having held various roles in the field over the past two decades. Before her current role, she was the Lead Landscape Architect at Arup from 2021 to 2022. She also worked as a Senior Landscape Architect at Cunnane Stratton Reynolds from 2018 to 2021 and had a freelance stint as a Chartered Landscape Architect at The Landscape Foundry from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Emma served as a Project Landscape Architect with The Landscape Partnership and as a Landscape Architect at Cracknell Ferns.

Emma has contributed significantly to landscape architecture education. She led the development of a Landscape and Urban Design Strategy for Leeds Bradford Airport's 2030 vision, and she worked on design proposals for Central Square Leeds for DLA Design. Emma also contributed to designing a housing strategy for the urban expansion of Scarborough and played a pivotal role in two successful landscape-led PPP masterplans at Cunnane Stratton Reynolds. Her comprehensive approach often integrates arts, making her a creative designer with strong visual and communication skills.
