Ghaith Tibi currently holds the position of Associate Urban Planner & Middle East Sustainability Leader at Arup. He holds a Master of Urban Planning from the American University of Sharjah (2013-2015) and a Master of Engineering in Applied Energy from the American University of Beirut (2010-2012). Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from the University of Sharjah (2006-2010).

Ghaith Tibi has a diverse background, having held positions such as Graduate Researcher at the American University of Sharjah (2013-2015) and at the American University of Beirut (2010-2012). He also worked as a Design Sustainability Engineer at Khatib & Alami CEC (2012-2014). Earlier in his career, he completed internships at R.G Concept and Dewan Al Emara in 2010 and 2009, respectively, and worked part-time as a Project Coordinator at T.B Interiors (2007-2009).

Contributions and Advocacy

Ghaith Tibi contributed to the State of Play Report for Circular Built Environment in the Gulf Cooperation Council, prepared for the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme. He has also participated as a panelist in the Blue Zone at the COP27 event, advocating for sustainable urban development. Additionally, he serves as a guest lecturer at several regional universities, promoting principles of sustainable planning and design.
