His role as a tunneling expert involved working on various aspects of the project, including the Crossrail Drive X Construction Support, focusing on a 6.2-kilometer long tunnel with an internal diameter of 6.2 meters in London.

HS2 Project Contributions

Hyuk Il Jung was involved in the Hybrid Bill Scheme design for HS2 Phase 1, concentrating on the Birmingham section. He currently serves as the tunnels and portals discipline lead for the HS2 Phase 2b Hybrid Bill design.

Published Works and Technical Contributions

Hyuk Il Jung is the lead author of the PAS8810 Code of Practice for the Design of Concrete Tunnel Lining, published by British Standard in April 2016. He has also provided technical opinions on various significant projects like the Bujeun-Masan Metro Tunnel Project in Busan, South Korea.
