Current Title and Role
Jamie Tucker holds the position of Senior Designer at Arup. He has been with the company since 2017, based in Cardiff, United Kingdom. During his tenure, he has led design initiatives on nationally significant projects, including one of the largest Transit Oriented Developments (TOD) in the UK.
Previous Professional Experience
Jamie Tucker has accumulated extensive experience in urban design through various roles. He was an Associate at NEW Masterplanning in Poole for 8 months from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, he served as an Associate Urban Designer at the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council for five years, from 2009 to 2014. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Urban Designer at Powell Dobson Urbanists LLP in Cardiff for three years (2006-2009) and as an Urban Designer at RPS Group in Bristol for one year (2005-2006).
Educational Background
Jamie Tucker studied at Oxford Brookes University, where he earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urban Design from 2002 to 2003. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Urban Studies and Planning, which he achieved with a 2:1 from The University of Sheffield from 1998 to 2001.
Academic Contributions
Jamie Tucker has contributed to academia as a visiting lecturer and reviewer for the M.A. in Urban Planning at the Paris Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi.
