She was then promoted to Senior Geotechnical Engineer and served in that capacity from 2017 to 2018 in Perth, Australia. At SMEC, she focused on client superintendent roles, including site inspections, quality audits, and remediation of construction errors.
Early Career and Roles
Jillian Bardos began her geotechnical engineering career at Estes Shields Engineering in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked as a Junior Engineer from 2007 to 2008. She then moved to Arup in Sydney, New South Wales, where she served as a Geotechnical Engineer from 2010 to 2013. Following this, she had a short stint at Robert Carr and Associates in Newcastle, working as a Geotechnical Engineer for three months.

Jillian Bardos earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing her studies from 2005 to 2010. Her academic background laid the foundation for her extensive career in geotechnical engineering and infrastructure projects.

Jillian Bardos has worked across various Australian states, including New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia. Her primary focus has been on transport infrastructure projects.
