She also studied Civil Engineering at Cornell University as an exchange student in 2011, and International Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2010. She holds a BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering and a BBA in General Business Management from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she studied from 2007 to 2012.

Beyond her extensive experience at Arup, Shanshan Wang has worked in various capacities across different organizations. She was a cohort member at Carbon13 in Cambridge in 2021, worked as an intern at both UNEP-WCMC (2016) and Squadron Capital Advisors Limited (2012), and held summer analyst positions at Macquarie Group (2011) and Sociaal-Economisch Onderzoek Rotterdam BV (2010). She also contributed as a marketing trainee at Business Environment Council in 2009.
Community and Technical Initiatives
In her role at Arup Singapore, Shanshan Wang leads community engagement initiatives, including identifying NGO partners and organizing office volunteering efforts. She provides technical and facilitation support for the Temasek Foundation Urban Resilience Program, collaborating with the Global Resilient Cities Network. Additionally, she manages engineering consultancy projects for the Cycling Path Network for the Land Transport Authority in Singapore.
