Current Roles and Responsibilities
Suresh Tank holds the position of Design Manager Shallow Stations for Riyadh Metro Lines 4, 5 & 6, having started this role in 2013. He is currently based in Dubai. Additionally, he serves as an Associate Director in the same region since 2013. These roles encompass a diverse range of responsibilities that span across design management and overseeing the implementation of various rail infrastructure projects.
Previous Professional Experience
Before his current roles, Suresh Tank worked as an Associate from 2011 to 2014 at Midland Campus, and from 2009 to 2011 at the Crossrail Project Office. He also served as a Sub Package Manager from 2006 to 2009. In these roles, he managed crucial sub-package responsibilities and led design tasks for prominent projects such as the Crossrail Bond Street Station and Tottenham Court Road Station.
Education and Expertise in Civil Engineering
Suresh Tank studied Civil Engineering at UCL, where he achieved both a BSc(Eng) and a PhD between 1980 and 1986. His educational background provided a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, which he has applied extensively in his career. Prior to UCL, he attended Rushey Mead School.
International Railway Projects Experience
Suresh Tank brings extensive international experience, having worked on railway projects across Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand. His notable contributions include the Ngong Ping Cable Car and West Rail projects in Hong Kong, the Bangkok MRTA North Section, and the Second Bangkok International Airport Station in Thailand.

Specializing in the design of underground stations, Suresh Tank is adept in managing both deep basements using top-down and bottom-up construction methods. His expertise is demonstrated through his successful leadership in the design management of complex underground infrastructure projects.
