Maki Kaplinsky serves as the Co-founder, Chairman, and COO of ASKA, a role she has held since 2018. Based in Mountain View, California, she has been instrumental in the development of the ASKA™ A5, a pioneering flying car. Under her leadership, the company secured over $50 million in pre-orders for the ASKA™ A5 and completed over 500 miles of road testing, achieving authorization from the DMV for public road usage. Kaplinsky also played a critical role in establishing a five-year Space Act Agreement with NASA, allowing ASKA to participate in the Advanced Air Mobility National Campaign.
Previous Experience
Prior to her tenure at ASKA, Maki Kaplinsky co-founded and served as COO of IQP Corporation from 2011 to 2017. During this period, she was involved in the company's operations in both Tokyo, Japan, and Palo Alto, California. Following the acquisition of IQP Corporation by GE in 2017, she worked at GE Digital for six months, focusing on the post-acquisition integration of IQP technology.
