She oversees the management of documentation and product web pages for several contract product catalogs. Additionally, she supervises a team of Technical Writers who are responsible for authenticating product quality control and reviewing quality assurance requirements.

Heather Couch worked at ATCC from 2007 to 2011 as a Senior Technical Writer, followed by a position as Lead Technical Writer from 2011 to 2016. During her tenure, she contributed to the development and management of technical documentation and quality assurance processes, enhancing the overall product quality and compliance.

Heather Couch earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Genetics from The University of Western Ontario, studying from 1990 to 1995. She furthered her education at The University of Calgary, where she obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from 1995 to 2000. This strong educational foundation supports her expertise in genetics and molecular biology.
Postdoctoral Experience
Heather Couch has extensive postdoctoral experience, having worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Rice University from 2000 to 2003, at Dartmouth College from 2003 to 2006, and at George Mason University from 2006 to 2007. In these roles, she contributed to various research projects and managed laboratory operations, enhancing her skills in scientific research and technical management.
