Robert (Bob) Cohen, JD, is currently serving as the General Counsel at Atlas, a position he has held since May 2021. In his role, he oversees all legal aspects for Atlas and the ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) managed by the organization. He is responsible for handling ASC acquisitions and syndications, ensuring that all joint ventures are structured in compliance with agreed terms and conditions. Robert (Bob) Cohen's Career in Health Care Law
Before joining Atlas, Bob Cohen served as the national chair of the health care practice at a large law firm for nearly 40 years. During his tenure, he worked as outside counsel for some of the largest nonprofit health systems in the United States. His work included major acquisitions, affiliations, clinical joint venture arrangements, and other physician strategies. His approach always focused on what was best for the health system, a perspective that has continuously defined his career.

Bob Cohen played a significant role in the founding of Atlas and served as the lead outside counsel for the organization prior to becoming General Counsel.
