About Aaron Christopher Bone
As a kid, I wanted to be an actor and then a marine biologist. In college, I was pre-med (for a bit) and wrote poetry. I went to law school to get into public health and disability law, but chanced into transfer pricing and economics thanks to an International Business Transactions class. Currently, I am Tax Director, Transfer Pricing at Autodesk, Inc., a multinational corporation that makes software products and services for the architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, and media and entertainment industries. Autodesk is changing how the world is designed and made and we empower innovators everywhere to solve challenges big and small. From greener buildings to more mesmerizing blockbusters to customized wheelchairs, we help our customers design and make a better world for all. I have over 20 years’ experience leading global documentation, planning, and controversy efforts, navigating the complexities of BEPS, DEMPE, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT, and supporting international tax, tax accounting, M&A, and tax reporting efforts. I partner with other functional groups, including Legal, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing, and Business Development. I like using both sides of my brain, and write well and model with the best of them. I manage teams with compassion and kindness, and still love rolling up my sleeves to do work and continue to learn. I am driven to help, and really care about doing my best for my team, company, and our customers. A few random facts about me: 1. My first job was working on an assembly line. 2. My current email signature line reads: Do not fight to be heard; fight to hear and listen. 3. My passions outside of tax include supporting our canine companions, individuals with disabilities, learning, and singing (or trying to!) I am always interested in hearing from interesting people, so feel free to contact me if you would like to connect.
