Ang Shih-Yang's Role with Timor-Leste's Ministry of Finance
Between 2012 and 2014, Ang Shih-Yang served as the Financial Investment Adviser to the Minister of Finance of Timor-Leste. During this period, Ang was responsible for overseeing the management of the Petroleum Fund, the country's sovereign wealth fund. Ang contributed significantly by assisting the Investment Advisory Board in developing the Fund's Strategic Asset Allocation and reviewing its governance structure. Additionally, Ang developed and guided the Petroleum Fund Administration Unit within the Ministry of Finance.
Ang Shih-Yang's Career at GIC
Ang Shih-Yang joined GIC, a global investment management corporation, as an Equity Risk Analyst in 2003. Over an 8-year tenure at GIC, Ang developed risk allocation tools and expanded the capabilities of the equity portfolio management system. Ang's contributions included being a key member of a multi-asset risk information infrastructure project. Ang left GIC as a Vice-President in the Investment Risk and Performance division.
