About Edmund Tan
I love building software using cool technologies. I am currently doing exactly that @ Amazon Web Services. In 2012, I moved to China to co-found Grasshopper Technologies, a software startup. I led the development of Grasshopper's flagship product that quickly gained traction in the market, and led to Grasshopper being acquired in 2015. Prior to my startup endeavor, I was a Sr. Manager at IBM who led enterprise software development programs focused on driving revenue growth, user engagement and user retention for our clients. I served as strategic advisor, thought leader, and program manager to a portfolio of Fortune 500 and SME clients. In my career, I have taken on roles that span software engineering, program management, product management and business development; this breadth of experience enables me to thrive in roles at the intersection of business and technology.
