About Chada El Islam Benmahcene
Chada is a Global Product Commercial Leader for Cordant Emissions - IET Digital at BakerHughes, and the Founder & managing director of ENTROGX Startup incubator. With over 15 years of youth activism & community engagement, 10 years of professional experience at energy multinational companies, and over 5 years of experience with startups, Chada works hard to empower and enable the communities around her by mentoring young entrepreneurs, women in STEM, and aspiring tech enthusiasts around the Arab world. She has recently been named amongst the 100 Arab Female Heroes in Volunteering by BBC, named as a Distinguished Alumni of the year in the Arab world by MEPI (Middle East- US Partnership Initiative ), and also the most influential young personality in Algeria for 2020 by Supernova Magazine. Chada has graduated top of class from the American University in Cairo, with a bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Business Administration. Along with several other academic and professional certificates in Leadership, Business, Community development, and Diversity & Inclusion from Colorado University Boulder, Indiana University , University of Nevada Reno, The American University of Beirut and Duke University. Chada is the graduate of several professional leadership programs also, such as: GE’s Digital Technology Leadership Program, BakerHughes CULTIVATE Female Business Leaders Program, Baker Hughes Horizontal Leadership Program, Colorado’s University Gold Leadership Program, US Embassy in Algiers Youth Leadership Program, US Department of State & MEPI’s Tomorrow’s Leaders Program. Currently, Chada is serving at the board of several organizations, empowering young women & girls in Tech & Energy to shine in their path forward. Starting from within her company, she is empowering over +1000 female employees, while serving as the Regional leader for Corporate Women Network of BakerHughes Company. Moreover, Chada sits on the board of Industry Advisory Council for Higher Colleges of Technology in UAE, as an industry consultant. She also serves in the board of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers ) in Algeria & UAE, as well as the Arab Women in Computing organization, and the corporate CWIT group ( Connecting Women in Technology). She is also the co-leader of LeanIn Dubai Women in Tech, a member of the global Women in Product Society, and also a Stanford University Ambassador for Women in Data Science. Chada traveled to +30 countries worldwide, enjoying hiking, volunteering and immersing herself in life adventures & connecting with the people & the world!
