Before joining Blink, Tyler Caro spent several years contributing to various roles at USAA in San Antonio, Texas. From 2018 to 2020, he served as a Strategic Innovation Senior, where he led collaborative innovation efforts focusing on new digital product development in the financial services industry. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Engineer from 2016 to 2018, and as a Researcher/Java Developer (Contractor) from 2015 to 2016. His work at USAA solidified his expertise in strategic product decisions and innovation within the finance sector.

Early Career and Educational Background

Tyler Caro began his professional journey at eIntern as a Java Developer in 2015, located in Reston, Virginia. Before stepping into the professional world, he studied at the University of California, Riverside, where he earned degrees in Physics and Applied Mathematics. During his time at the university, he gained experience as a Researcher / Mathematical Modeler from 2012 to 2014. His academic background also includes working in a university-funded theoretical condensed matter physics lab developing simulations.

In addition to his professional roles, Tyler Caro has experience as a consultant, where he drove content and marketing strategy for agriculture-based nonprofits. He also acts as a senior contributor to the University of Texas San Antonio’s AI Lab.
