Mullen has successfully repositioned the company from a consultancy to a full-service DTC ecommerce provider, implementing an 'Inventory Purchase' retail model that eliminates upfront costs for brands.
Previous Experience at BrandShop
Mullen held multiple roles at BrandShop, formerly known as SureSource, from 2002 to 2015. He served as Vice President of Ecommerce and Marketing for nine years, followed by a four-year term as President. During his presidency, he led the digital commerce strategy for a $100 million DTC ecommerce provider, which ultimately resulted in the company's sale to Blue Acorn iCi in 2019. Mullen also contributed as a member of the Board of Directors from 2011 to 2015, overseeing significant operational aspects of the company.
Advisory Roles and Board Memberships
In addition to his current roles, Mike Mullen has served in various advisory capacities. He was an advisor at Capital One from 2006 to 2011 and has been involved with USMEDIC as an Investor, Advisor, and Acting CIO since 2019. Mullen also served on the Board of Directors for AmeriCommerce from 2011 to 2014, where he oversaw a platform that facilitated over 5,000 merchants and managed more than $1 billion in annual transactions until its acquisition by Capital One.
