Throughout these roles, he was based in the Greater Seattle Area and contributed to various projects related to propulsion and space systems.
Experience Before Blue Origin
Before joining Blue Origin, Scott Palmer worked at several engineering firms. He was part of Sierra Engineering, Inc. as Engineering Staff from 2002 to 2007 in Sacramento. He served as Engineering Supervisor at Raytheon Technical Services from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, he held a position as Product & Process Engineer at PowerTek International Corporation from 2000 to 2001 and also worked as an Engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne from 1998 to 2000. His roles in these companies provided him with extensive experience in mechanical and propulsion engineering.
Educational Background
Scott Palmer holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, which he obtained between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Reno, completing his studies there from 1994 to 1997. His academic background in mechanical engineering has laid a strong foundation for his career in propulsion and advanced technology development.
