About Mari Baker

Creating ripples that drive lasting change - whether that is building thriving companies, coaching and mentoring future leaders, developing new products and services, or challenging norms - this is what excites me. I've invested the last 20+ years of my career as a senior technology executive and enjoyed every minute of it. I've held CEO, President, and SVP positions in startups and Fortune 50 companies, and built some of the world's most successful consumer technology businesses and brands including Quicken (Intuit, Inc.) and BabyCenter (Johnson & Johnson), each of which made life better in some way for millions of customers, and were the leaders in their categories. I've done everything from raw startup to senior executive at a Fortune 50 company, and run everything from business units to customer service teams to product groups and HR; I enjoy rapid learning curves and figuring out the path to success, while building sustainable organizations and future leaders. Over the past 10 years I have largely focused on corporate board work, and on increasing the number of women advancing to C-level and Board roles, serving seven years on the Advisory Board of the Clayman Institute on Gender Research at Stanford University, co-founding what is today known as the VMWare Women's Leadership Innovation Lab at Stanford University, and leading global initiatives for diversity and inclusion in YPO. All of these efforts are focused on leveraging data, relationships, and best practices to implement and scale change globally, to make the world just a little bit better for a whole lot of people.
