Boom and Latecoere Collaboration

Under Kathy Savitt's guidance, Boom selected Latecoere to develop the electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS) architecture for Overture and Symphony. Latecoere's engineering team in Toulouse collaborates closely with Boom engineers to define a comprehensive EWIS that includes over 103 kilometers (64 miles) of wiring and more than 45,000 electrical connections. This partnership utilizes Latecoere's specialized software for harness architecture, ensuring robust and advanced systems integration.

Latecoere is a global provider of aerospace solutions, employing nearly 6,000 people across 14 countries. The company operates in various segments such as commercial, regional, business, defense, and space aerospace industries. Boom's Strategic Supplier Agreements

Boom has signed key structural supplier agreements to advance the development of Overture. At the Paris Air Show in June 2023, Boom announced partnerships with Aernnova for the wings, Leonardo for the fuselage and wing box, and Aciturri for the empennage. These collaborations are vital for the engineering and production of Boom’s Overture aircraft, ensuring each component meets high standards of quality and performance.

Upcoming Milestones for Boom's Symphony

Scott Powell joined Boom as the Senior Vice President of Symphony in August. Boom completed the Conceptual Design Review (CoDR) milestone for Symphony, an important step in the design process. The company plans to conduct the first hardware rig tests for Symphony in 2024, marking a significant progression towards the project's development and implementation.
