Following his tenure at Illumina, Grannick was employed at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd for 11 months in 2019 to 2020, also in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Danny Grannick earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of San Diego, where he studied from 2012 to 2016. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of San Diego for two years, from 2014 to 2016, and for an additional four months in 2013 to 2014. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship at New York University, which he began in 2020.
