She worked as an Interimsmanagerin Finance at König & Cie from 2009 to 2011 and as Managerin Finance and Accounting at Munters from 2012 to 2016. In these roles, she developed a Tax compliance management system intended for rollout across European countries and provided regional tax expertise, including supervision of income tax, VAT, salary, and social tax.

In addition to her law degrees, Katja Niemann has pursued various qualifications to enhance her expertise. She studied Betriebspsychologie (IHK) at Job Campus Lübeck from 2010 to 2011 and obtained a qualification in Rechnungswesen und Controlling from Rudolf-Rempel-Schule from 1993 to 1997.
