Achievements in Organizational Change Management

During his tenure in the Air Force, Fortner led the first-ever implementation of new data tools, which resulted in a 16% reduction in backlog growth, saving $6.5 billion in Plant Replacement Value. He also formed a 27-person cross-functional team to tackle the unsustainable growth of the Department of the Air Force’s Facility Sustainment, Recapitalization, and Modernization portfolio. His contributions have significantly influenced the management strategies of the Air Force and Space Force.

Teaching Experience

Before his extensive military career, Jeff Fortner worked as a teacher at Mount Pleasant High School from 1999 to 2002. This experience provided him with foundational skills in education and leadership, which he later applied in his military and corporate roles.
