Rachel's career began with roles in library services, including a position as a Library Assistant at the Helen Crocker Russell Library from 2003 to 2004. She later worked at OCLC in various capacities, including Senior Manager of WebJunction Partner Services and Senior Manager of Training, from 2006 to 2014. Additionally, she managed a Native Plant Nursery at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy from 2000 to 2003.
