Prior to that, she was the Director of People and Culture at Canfor from 2015 to 2017. Her experience also includes a role as Senior Manager, Operations Training at BC Hydro from 2008 to 2015, where she managed training initiatives for a large workforce.
Educational Background
Katy Player holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications from Stockton University, which she completed from 1996 to 2000. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Education in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple University between 2000 and 2002. Additionally, she participated in the Business Essentials for Executives program at Wharton Executive Education.

Notably, she spearheaded a $10 million capital project to design, build, and operate BC Hydro's Trades Training Centre.
