Prior to that, she was a PR Account Coordinator at Grey Canada from 2000 to 2002. Her experience also includes a role as Public Relations Manager at MLA Canada from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, she held positions at SPUD.ca, first as a Marketing Specialist (Contract) in 2013 and then as an Interim Marketing Manager for one month in 2014.

Valerie Wonghen has a solid educational background in communications and management. She studied at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where she earned a Diploma in Marketing Communications from 1998 to 2000. She then attended Royal Roads University, achieving a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from 2002 to 2003. Wonghen also studied at The University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Arts from 1996 to 1998.
