About Winnie Cheng
As Director of AI in Products and Technology at PwC, I lead teams of data scientists and engineers to create cutting-edge technology solutions to solve business problems and enable new markets. We leverage emerging technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing and generative AI to build solutions and services that are designed for humans, driven by data, and utilize AI for intelligent automation. I have over 20 years of experience in software, data science and AI, with more than $60M in positive business impacts at Microsoft, IBM Watson, JP Morgan, and other companies. I have been named "Women in IT Award" by Information Age and HSBC's "Women on the Rise in Fintech". I am passionate about AI and technology, and how they can deliver value and transform industries. I am also an entrepreneurial and innovative thinker, having co-founded a venture-backed AI startup, won multiple innovation competitions and grants, and advised several leading fintech and VC firms. I hold a PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from MIT, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. I am also an active member of the IEEE AI Academy and the Organizing Committee for IEEE. Outside of work, I am passionate about empowering women and promoting racial equality and am on the Board of the non-profit YWCA NNJ.
