About Deana Anglin, PhD

Dr. Deana Anglin, named to the 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley, is a human-centered tech leader, entrepreneur and champion for change. Leveraging her 10 years of experience at Google and a Ph.D. in Computing from Georgia Tech, Dr. Deana empowers businesses and communities in industry and academia. She founded tech startup, Talawa.ai, to transform ideas into powerful brands with accessible AI solutions for entrepreneurs and businesses, while also serving as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University. At Google, she was a hybrid product leader and researcher, starting Google’s first product team focused on generative AI solutions for small/mid-sized businesses and working on notable products like “Order with Google”. A global powerhouse, she has worked in, built products and communities and mentored over 150 tech and consumer goods startups across North America, LATAM, Europe and Africa. Her passion extends beyond the realm of technology. Dr. Anglin started the Azarae Foundation, to support children's education and advancement in the Caribbean (her native home) distributing over a quarter million (US) dollars from the diaspora. Dr. Deana exemplifies leadership and innovation, using empathy, technology and research to bridge divides and empower others.
