About Tao Hong
I am a Ph.D. student in the Program in Neural Computation at Carnegie Mellon University and a member of the Stauffer lab. Our lab specializes in how the brain gives rise to the mind. Specifically, we study neural circuits that respond to, and generate, aspects of our subjective mental narrative - including values, emotions, and decisions. To this end, we use a combination of behavioral, electrophysiological, and computational techniques as well as single-cell transcriptomics technologies. Please visit https://www.staufferlab.org for the exciting research the lab is doing.
