Brezhnev D. In his role, he manages the SC&JI Project, which is an 8-month learning initiative aimed at integrating social cohesion and justice among members of producer groups. Brezhnev D. Paasewe has a diverse educational background. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of Liberia. He furthered his studies at Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, obtaining a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Local Government and Rural Development Administration from 2019 to 2021. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Diplomacy and International Relations at the Gabriel L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute from 2022 to 2023. Additionally, he studied Programs and Projects Management at Cornell University, where he achieved a Certificate in Project Management in 2018.
Previous Work Experience
Before his current role at Catholic Relief Services, Brezhnev D. Paasewe worked at DAI as the Activity and Communications Coordinator for the USAID LEGIT Activity from 2016 to 2017. He also served as the Projects Team Lead for the USAID Connect for Peace (C4P) costed extension and the United 4 Progress (U4P) Project at CRS from 2020 to 2022. His experience includes implementing projects that focus on social cohesion and community trust, particularly among youth and community members.
Project Management and Initiatives
In his role as Program Manager, Brezhnev D. Paasewe has implemented the Youth for Peace (Y4P) project, which aims to enhance trust between youth and community members as well as between youth and elected officials in Liberia. The SC&JI Project he manages aligns with CRS's Strategic Change Platform 1 (SCP1), focusing on fostering just and cohesive societies. The project utilizes a behavior change approach centered on knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSA) to strengthen horizontal social cohesion among participants.
