Agalheir has worked with various international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, where she served as Regional Office Manager for the Soudano-Sahelian Zone in Cameroon from 2008 to 2009. She also volunteered with the Peace Corps as a Small Enterprise Development Volunteer in Tokombere, Cameroon, from 2006 to 2008. These experiences have contributed to her understanding of grassroots poverty reduction and development strategies.
