Education and Expertise
Holleng Bwakat holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology from the University of Jos, which he completed from 2005 to 2010. He also earned a Master in Disaster Management (MDM) from the University of Maiduguri from 2017 to 2019. His educational background supports his expertise in proposal analysis, report writing, and monitoring and evaluation of projects related to Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, and other humanitarian sectors.

Bwakat has been involved with the DG European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) since 2014, where he currently works as a Programme Assistant in Abuja, Nigeria. He also serves as a Programme Officer in the Maiduguri Office since 2017. His responsibilities include coordinating ECHO partners' meetings to enhance collaboration and efficiency among humanitarian organizations, demonstrating his commitment to improving humanitarian responses.
