Fred Pritchard earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Penn State College of Medicine, where he studied from 1976 to 1979. He also holds an M.Sc. in Pharmacology and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Life Sciences from Queen's University. His expertise encompasses clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics, with over 30 years of experience in drug development.

Throughout his career, Fred Pritchard has been involved in nearly 40 integrated drug development programs and has successfully brought several drug development programs through Investigational New Drug (IND) applications into phase I and II clinical trials. He has worked on the pre-registration of five currently marketed pharmaceuticals and has authored over 120 scientific publications and abstracts.

Fred Pritchard has been active in various professional organizations. He served as the past Chair and Treasurer of the Research Triangle Park Drug Metabolism Discussion Group and is a member of the Executive Committee of the same group. Additionally, he serves on the Therapy Acceleration Program Committee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is a trustee of the LLS North Carolina Chapter Board.
